This hypothetical social media ad is for Fly by Jing’s chili crisp. The constraints for the project were the randomly assigned target audience (health enthusiasts) and 30 second time span. The color palette is as hot and fiery as the product, utilizing both deep and bright reds, oranges, and yellows. Complimentary green tones provide contrast and cater to the concept of this being a healthy product.
The typefaces used in the video, Jean Luc and Pinyon Script, come directly from Fly by Jing’s packaging and website. Sharp, exciting shapes and movement match the spicy flavor of the chili crisp and aim to keep the audience engaged on a social media platform where attention spans are continually getting shorter.
